Walsh Whiskey Distillery is located at Royal Oak in County Carlow, one hour from Dublin.
The company was founded in 1999 by Bernard and Rosemary Walsh. The company founded was named Hot Irishman Ltd.
2001 - Bernard and Rosemary moved to Urglin Glebe. It was the headquarters for Hot Irishman Ltd for 10yrs.
2005 - Irishman Cream licquer was created.
2006 - Whiskey supply agreement- deal signed for a long term supply agreement with Irish Distillers.
2007 - Irishman Whiskey launched
2009 - Writers Tears Whiskey launched.
2013 - Irishman rebrand and the purchase of a new property (Royal Oak) takes place.
2014 - Construction starts at Royal Oak (new distillery)
2016 - Easter Sunday 2016 the first drops of the new spirit at the new Walsh Whiskey Distillery at Royal Oak starts to flow.
